Get Hype!!!

What's that?  Why, that's the hype train!  It's here to get you pumped for Latin Academy!  Latin Academy is my favorite period of the year (and it's not close either!).  It's an experience that is indescribable, exhilarating, and exhausting as well.  We've been prepping things for months, and soon you get to see the results of all of our scheming.

Before that starts up though, I recommend you prepare yourself for three weeks of separation from the real world.  You're about to wander into the bizzaro world that is Latin Academy, where you'll have no internet access and minimal access to the outside world.  For most of you, that's going to be a vast departure from your regular day-to-day life.

In my mind, proper preparation involves being in a good state of mind.  Latin Academy will be a blast if you come in with a positive attitude and open mind.  Do whatever you need to do to relax.  That's my biggest piece of advice at this stage.  If you've got a show you need to finish, binge those episodes!  If you've got a ton of cute cat pictures you need to post to Instagram, do it now!  Whatever internet or technology-based activities you like to do to relax, get it in now!  If that stuff isn't your jam, do some yoga, meditate under a waterfall...whatever you enjoy, do it.

Though it might seem daunting or bothersome to go so long without some of the conveniences and freedom associated with modern life, I can pretty much guarantee that you won't mind so much after a few days at academy.  You'll be meeting 44 of your new best friends soon, and you'll forge some amazing memories that you'll cherish.  I'm looking forward to it, and you should be too!
