Play Reminders

7/14/2017

Tomorrow at 2:00 PM our students will put on the one and only performance of the play Miles Gloriosus. They've been working very hard over the past three weeks and you're in for a treat! A few reminders:
  • THERE'S ALWAYS TRAFFIC ON 95! Leave your house with plenty of time to account for that traffic. The show STARTS at 2:00, so you need to be at Blackwell Auditorium by 1:45 to be seated and ready for the performance. We will not wait for you to start the show! It's also very distracting to the student actors when someone comes in late. Come to Ashland in the morning and enjoy lunch at one of Ashland's adorable restaurants like the Trackside Grill or Ashland Coffee and Tea!
  • Please silence your phones before you enter the theater. Please.
  • Do not talk during the show. Chances are, you don't know Latin, so it's tempting to want to make comments over the dialogue. However, our students have worked so hard over the last few weeks and it's quite disrespectful to talk during their performance. Also, it can ruin the show for someone sitting next to you who does understand Latin and/or wants to be a supportive audience member.
So, to reiterate, be a good audience member and leave way earlier than you think you need to to get here by 1:45. As we tell the students, early is on time and on time is late (and late is unacceptable!).
Enjoy the show!
Sincerely,
Magistra Carroll and Magister Cavedo
Play Co-Directors
