Salvete omnes, Guess where we went today? We went off to The VMFA today to tour the exhibits of one of the best museums around for classical works. On our trip we delved into the classics by viewing everything from kitchen bowls to sarcophagi. We also got to put into good use our lectures on circumlitio and tomb reading. Lucky for us, the VMFA holds one of two existing full body Caligula's for our enjoyment. This brought to life our readings about him in occidat class. After our journey to the fine arts, we got busy working on the play that is in just two days. But here comes the really exciting part of our day *drumroll please*.
Certagon!!!!!! Once divided into groups of three, we split up into classrooms for some good natured competition. Each group played three rounds with eight questions in each before we continued to the finale. After our competition we all gathered for some words of wisdom. Each of the teachers and RAs answered our burning questions about living a life of classics, and how we could continue to kindle our love for it in a college setting. Now, we are off to pack and prepare for the end of our magical GLA experience. Valete, :( Hannah et Hannah :)
