Non Nobis Solum
Today was the first full day of Academy, packed with even more events!
The morning started off with Latin Day classes. In Mercatus Traiani, we learned about Cicero, the author of our theme for this year, non nobis solum. Our Latina Loquenda class helped us to talk to each other about our likes and dislikes. In OVID-22, we explored the background to Ovid and his Metamorphoses. In the afternoon, we went on a scavenger hunt around the campus of RMC. All of the clues were entirely in Latin and the teachers refused to speak to us in English! EHEU!! And finally this evening we experienced Latinae Minutiae, an exciting game show with mythology and pop culture questions. Team II was in the lead before the final round with 5.5 million points... but we'll need to wait until tomorrow to learn the final results! -- Mr. Jefferson
