gubernatoris latina academia mmxxii
Non Nobis Solum
Salvete! Mihi nomen est Magistra McIntire. I am a Latin teacher currently in Philadelphia, but I grew up in Fredericksburg at the Riverbend High School Latin program. I will be teaching OVID-22 this year- more on that later. My pronouns are she/they, and here are some things about me! Recently I've enjoyed...
Latin Academy is such a special time. As a student, Latin Academy was where I decided to pursue Latin (although I didn't know it yet). Nothing compared to being surrounded by the people most passionate about Latin, but I still didn't think I could do Latin in college where there were all these other Latin geniuses. That changed when Magister Yates (as RA Yates) told the Academy that we didn't have to be the fastest person on the Certamen team or score the highest on the VJCL Grammar test to be a good Latin teacher. That changed my life! So know that you are able. You have been CHOSEN for Academy. You are adding something to the Academy. You are not alone in this. Non nobis solum. Looking forward to meeting you all and creating an Academy to remember. Curate, Magistra McIntire
